New Leaf April

April has been an extraordinary month for wintery showers. We have been grateful for the fleece this year as we could have lost the entire crop to frost.

April New Leaf frosts

We worked bravely through snow and hail!

April New Leaf

Seedlings germinated in the kitchen then raised in the greenhouse we now planted out, but still tucked up under fleece.

Polytunnel April New Leaf

Salads, parsley, chervil and coriander are now flourishing in the polytunnel. Several varieties of tomatoes are also starting their journeys up the bindertwine!

Islay New Leaf

The polytunnel is no longer a playground for Islay!

April New Leaf

The strawberries are flowering and starting to bare fruit.

April New Leaf

We had some lovely Spring woodland walks.
